Who is Goddess Katyayani?

Goddess Katyayani of Navadurgas is portrayed as the one seated on a lion with four arms. She is depicted carrying a sword and a lotus with her left hand while having a shield and showing the Abhaya mudra with her right hand.

Worshipping Maa Katyayani is considered to fetch boldness and wisdom to the devotees. Also, the Devi is regarded as the bestower of health, wealth, and success.

In Hindu customs like Yoga and Tantra, she is ascribed to the sixth Ajna Chakra or the Third eye chakra, and her blessings are summoned by focusing on this point.
