Things parents and students usually want to know before they start.
None at all. We work with plenty of students from zero, including adults who think they cannot sing. We begin from the very basics and move at your pace. You will be surprised how quickly things click.
You'll start with pitch alignment (shruti) and the seven notes, then gradually move into rhythmic patterns, simple exercises, raga basics, and easy songs like kritis and bhajans. We build up one small step at a time, so nothing ever feels like a leap.
Physical classes in Puchong. Group classes run 4 sessions a month, and private one to one coaching is available too. Can't make it to Puchong? We also run online classes. Just ask us and we'll find what works for you.
Sooner than you think. Most students are singing simple bhajans and geethams within 2 to 3 months. With regular classes, you'll be working on proper kritis and Swarajatis within 6 to 12 months. And the day you sing your first full song properly, you will remember it.
Everyone is welcome, from children as young as 5 to adults starting later in life. We go at each student's pace, so it never feels rushed or overwhelming. Whether your child is shy or your mum has always wanted to try, there is a place here for them.
Physical classes are at Laxmi Music Academy in Puchong. It's a cosy, familiar space that students really look forward to visiting. If you're not in the area, our online classes work just as well. Students from across Malaysia and beyond learn with us on Zoom.
