No-Risk GuaranteeCarnatic Violin
Rooted in our swaras.
Music with a soul.
Most violinists play Western scales. Carnatic violin is different. Every slide, bend and ornament carries meaning. It's designed to sound like a human voice.
Carnatic posture & seated style
Scroll rests on the ankle, a distinct seated technique unique to Carnatic violin.
Bow grip & wrist technique
Proper hold from day one, the foundation that prevents bad habits from forming.
Gamakas, slides & bends
The expressive ornaments that make Carnatic violin sound like a singing voice.
Ragas & compositions
From Sarali varisai to full Kritis, a structured vocabulary built step by step.
Buying your first violin
A good beginner violin costs under RM 800. We'll guide you on exactly what to buy, so you never buy blind.
The bow feels like magic.
The earlier they start, the more natural it becomes. Children at this age absorb rhythm and pitch like breathing.
Old enough to focus. Young enough to be fearless.
Rapid progress is the norm. Most students playing recognisable music within their first term.
Discipline meets creativity.
A skill that genuinely sets you apart, when everything else looks the same on a resume or application.
You've been thinking about this long enough.
Adults who start violin always wish they'd started sooner. Classes fit around work and family. Start now.
Our youngest student started at 5. Our oldest at 67. Both progressed faster than they expected.
For beginners starting young. For adults finally starting now.
Month 1
Bow hold, posture, and open strings. By the end of the first month, you're producing real notes. That first sound is the beginning of everything.
Month 2 to 3
Scales, patterns, exercises. Your ear starts catching wrong notes before they even happen. Most students play their first recognisable melody by month 3.
Hard for a month. Yours for life.
It'll frustrate you at first. That's how you know it's worth it. Everyone says violin is hard, that's why you'll be proud you did it.

"I'm currently learning violin with her and taking up Sangeetham as well. I would highly recommend her for the extreme patience and dedication she gives to all her students. Someone who monitors closely and corrects each individual on their errors to make sure they are on the right path."

Want to know exactly what you'll learn? Here's the path, stage by stage, with a clear milestone at each step.
Everything you need to know before enrolling.
Yes, you'll need your own violin to start, since it's a personal instrument that becomes uniquely yours. We'll recommend a good, trusted shop where you can buy a quality violin, and we'll advise you on the right size and type for your age and level, so you never buy blind.
We welcome students from 6 years old, all the way up. If your child can sit attentively for 30 to 45 minutes and focus on learning, they're ready. Starting younger gives a real head start, the muscle memory and ear training at this age is remarkable. Adults are equally welcome.
Most students play their first recognisable melody by the end of month 6. Full Carnatic compositions typically by a year. This is the milestone most students don't expect to arrive so soon, but it does.
Yes. Carnatic violin is played seated on the floor, with the scroll resting on the ankle. The technique focuses on gamakas, slides and bends that mirror the human voice, deeply expressive and distinct from Western classical style.
We don't require it. Progress happens in the class. Our teachers pick up exactly where you left off each week. If you love it and want to play at home, wonderful, but we will never make you feel like you've failed because you didn't.
Everyone who picks up the violin eventually says the same thing: "I'm so glad I started when I did." The progress surprises you. The confidence you build stays with you long after any lesson ends.
And if you've always meant to learn violin, the instrument is not waiting for the right moment. You are. This is it.
The violin gives you something

All you have to do is pick it up.
This music is yours. Now play it.
Hard for a month. Something to be proud of for life.
Everyone starts somewhere. Start here.

"The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires."
